Dr. Anthony H. Wild was inducted as a Director on the Board of Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited on December 19, 2008.

Dr. Wild has vast experience in the Pharmaceutical industry. He is the co-founder and General Partner of BOWS Pharmaceuticals AG. Until its acquisition by Meda AB in August 2007, he was the Chairman of the Med Pointe Pharmaceuticals Inc., having served also as CEO from 2001 to 2006. MedPointe was formed around 2001 by the acquisition of the Carter-Wallace Company by MedPointe Capital Partners LLC, an investment group founded by Dr. Wild in the year 2000.

Between 1995 and 2000, Dr. Wild worked with Warner-Lambert Company of Morris Plains (NJ). He was the Executive Vice President and President of its Global Pharmaceuticals Sector since 1996 till its acquisition by Pfizer as part of its hostile acquisition in 2000. Before joining Warner-Lambert, Dr. Wild spent 22 years with Schering-Plough Corporation in Switzerland, Sweden, South Africa, the Netherlands and the United States, culminating as the Osaka-based President of its Japanese operations for six years. Prior to that he worked as a Development Chemist at Sandoz AG in Basel, Switzerland.

Dr. Wild is a member of the Boards of Directors of several privately-owned specialty pharmaceuticals and biotechnology companies. He is the Director of University of York in America Foundation and of Churchill Archives at Churchill College, University of Cambridge. He is a past chairman of the International Section of Pharmaceuticals Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), past Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) and past Director of the Boards of Allergan Inc. and Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Dr. Wild is a native of U.K. where he graduated in 1968 with an Honours degree in Chemistry from University of York and also holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in 1971 from University of Cambridge.
